And, nothing. I'm just saying it's uncommon. And it's odd. that's my point. geez can't you just give me my point. I'm just saying it's odd and uncommon that's all. give me a break. just because it's happened with other actors besides Bradley Cooper doesn't mean I can't post this.

it IS uncommon and it IS odd. it's uncommon and odd because it hardly ever happens with actors or actresses. 99% of the time actors and actresses start acting in Hollywood either tv shows or movies when they are 20-22 years old. it's the way it has always been just look at all the actors in Hollywood in the past 20 years, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, they all started young and from 20 to 22 years old. and if they recently graduated from college then that would mean that they are 22 years old, and exactly in my age range.

you just don't get it and I don't know why. it's so clear and evident, and obvious what I'm talking about. the list is so long of actors who started no later than 22 it's obvious. Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Eddie Murphy, etc. it's so absurd and stupid for you to say there are just as many actors who started at age 20 as those who started at age 28. they never get started at 28. they always start right after college or before they finish college, so at around 21 years old. I don't know how you can't understand this and remember seeing all those young actors in Hollywood movies when they first started.

No, you look, rude one. It's clear, evident, and obvious that you're being absurd, idiotic, and dense. you're an immature, impolite jerk who is so not used to talking to. wow, cannot believe how idiotic and immature, and stupid, and ignorant you are. I gave you so many examples of actors who started from 20-22 years old in acting in movies and tv shows. and it's such an easy thing to see and understand. it's so obvious it's unbelievable that you can't see it and realize it but actually I take that back because you keep not believing me even though I've given you amp238le evidence about my claim. it IS believable that you can't get this. I'm not reasoning this in an incorrect or immature way but you are understanding this in an immature and incorrect way. All you have to do is think maturely about what I'm saying and use common sense and you'll understand and come to the same conclusion I have about this. FUC# OFF!

But none of the actors you mentioned even graduated from college. In fact, Johnny Depp didn't even graduate from high school and Tom Cruise almost didn't graduate high school from my understanding. Eddie Murphy never went to college, and the others you mentioned went but didn't finish. So, of course, it makes sense they would get a younger start than someone like Bradley 2000Cooper or Hugh Jackman who earned more than one degree. Those two are both examples. Bradley has a BA in English and an MA in Drama, and Hugh Jackman has a BA in Journalism and then later went to the Western Australian Academy of the Performing Arts for drama school. Denzel Washington is another actor who did this. He got a BA in Journalism and then went to graduate school for a bit to study acting. He was in his late 20s when he had his first break-out TV role.
Even actors like Jon Hamm (who has a BA in English and then was an 8th grade drama teacher) and Gerard Butler (used to be a lawyer) started later. Now that I think of it, I can think of a long list of actors who started later (probably over 10 just off the top of my head). So I agree with the other guy who said it is not that uncommon. Several guys chose to get an education (and finish their education) rather than jumping straight into acting, which is highly commendable and something that I think actually sets them apart from their peers. -

what about all the young actors in Hollywood who get started really young on kid shows and movies like Zac Effron? I mean there are dozens of them. and what about all the actors who don't do that and who start from 20-22? I know I'm right about this because I remember so many of them back in the '80s. and it's just the way it's been since then. I've always seen young faces in Hollywood movies. And I'm not talking about late 20s actors I'm talking about early 20s actors.

There are many ways to categorise actors. The young faces you see in Cinema usually never transition to adult acting and leave the profession. Some, are rare talents or child wonders, who no matter, will only ever be an actor or performer e.g Justin Timberlake, Macaulay Culkin, etc.

@lukejbarnett
What on earth are you talking about? There have been actors who didn't start acting until they were in their 30s and 40s. Nothing odd or uncommon about not acting until you're 24 (which is nowhere near what you would call "late" to start acting) especially when you have so many child actors who start acting around age 4 or so. People start acting at all different kinds of ages. -

not true, most actors start acting at 20 years old, ala johnny depp, tom cruise, etc. and most stresses start acting at 20 years old. it's like modeling where models usually start modeling at 20 years old. they go to film school or acting classes for 2 years and then they start acting in movies or tv shows.
all the actors who started acting in their 30s and 40s are odd and uncommon because they started later than most people do.
I'm talking about most actors or the common age actors start acting which is 20. -

I guess it is because he has done his degree before going to drama school.
Personally I think this is a smart thing to do because you never know if you can make it as an actor.http://Lorcagonzalez.blogspot.com
