Hah, I love the comment about Australian air. I'm an Aussie and I had a stranger call me Abbie several times a few weeks ago because they thought I looked so much like her.
I also get Nicole Kidman, Melissa George, Jessica Marais, Tabrett Bethell and Teresa Palmer a lot - who are all Aussie actresses - and Charlize Theron, Amanda Schull and Scarlett Johansson, who have also been compared to Abbie; there's clearly something quite definitive that's making people draw comparisons with Cornish and the aforementioned actors.

Cronish looks more like a Kidman rather than Theron. Resembles Bening as well. Cornish is Australian just like Kidman.

She has her own look, her own beauty, her own style and charm etc. Charlize isn't the worst to be compared to because she's very beautiful, but Abbie doesn't really look like anyone much, she's gorgeous without the need to be compared!
