I love Malmsteen and George Lynch.
But John Sykes' Crying in the rain is my best.
especially the mad tapping techinque part.
I also like soldier of fortune
which is actually Deep Purple one
but very often sang between crying in the rain.
    Slightly different from the original.
    I like Ludwigshafen '83 version.
    and then Looking for love.
    And Is this love too.
overdubbed guitar(maybe two or three I don't know) is bleak and spooky.
    I really love that.
(It can be found also in John's band Blue Murder's out of love.
Also could found in whitesnake's but not sykes' Fool for your loving new version.)
and then Your gonna break my heart again.
    And Slow and Easy.
The music video is about sexual suffocation
So that's the reason I accept this one as a SM anthem.
And Then the biggest hit Here I go again 1987 but not my No.1.
    love ain't no strainger.
Finally, only my soul and blindman.

My favorite Whitesnake song of all time is "Is This Love".
EDIT I'd now have to say "Still Of The Night", but it's a very tough decision.

        1)slow an' easy
        2)still of the night

" 'Here I go' again was released on the 'Whitesnake'album. The same album with songs like 'Bad Boys', 'Still of the Night', among other. I believe the album came out around '87 or '88. "
Whitesnake's self titled album came out in 1987, and "Here I Go Again" was the single off that album that hit #1 on the U.S. charts.
Not to get off subject, but I was 4 years old when the "Whitesnake" album was released in 1987, and I became a fan way back then. I chose "Whitesnake87" as my screenname here on IMDb because I still love the band just as much today!

Yeah, I was 6 and my dad bought that album when it was first released. God it rocked from beginning to end.

I've never liked Here I Go Again.
Here's my top 5 in order.
Number 1 All Time Best: Looking for Love (I feel his voice is speaking to me personally in this one)
                    2: Love Ain't No Stranger
                    3: Fool For Your Loving
                    4: Still of the Night
5: Give Me All Your Love
Roman Polanski: The original five foot pole you don't want to touch anyone with.

"BURN" and "KITTENS GOT CLAWS" gets my vote, as well as a couple songs off of Page/Coverdale "Don't Leave Me this Way" and "Prayer for the Dying"

Sorry to get off the main topic again, but why was "Here I Go Again" released in both 1982 and 1987? Are there any differences between them, and if so, what are they? Thanks for your time.

the 1982 version is vastly inferior to the 1987 version. for one thing the 87 version has the great adrian vandenberg solo in it. but the real kicker for me is the line "like a drifter" was originally "like a hobo". just the word "hobo" makes me unable to take the song seriously. "drifter" works much better for me.
