Having just watched From Beyond, I thought I'd try to find some interesting movies she made since 1986, and I only found a few.
Yes, she was an attractive woman but it seems she only appeared on screen as eye candy, not for her 'acting ability'. -

She's had steady employment as an actor for 30 years now, so she's doing something right.
Some people want to be big stars, others are content to be 'working actors'. I suspect Crampton falls into the latter.

While I wouldnt say she isnt "talented", I do have to agree to some extent she was used in most of her films as pure and complete sex/eye candy. she has gotten topless in many a film! not that I'm complaining haha, but it seems this was what she was known for, like many of her peers. But she had such a beautiful innocent doe eyed beauty about her, I always felt sorry for her especially in classics like reanimator. she gets put through so much poor thing! must admit though, she has aged incredibly well, she looks practically the same as she did 30 years ago. look at carrie fisher then and now, WTF happened? look at barbera then and nowamazing!
