They are totally different body types as Dustin Hoffman is a little, compact man man while HIC is tall and thin. As far as personalities, HIC seems like a much nicer guy than Hoffman who IMO tends to be arrogant and haughty in interviews.

yeah but Mr. Hoffmann does look a little like HIC, especialyl when he's smiling. just checked it on google.. the resemblance is stunning.
LOL someone above said he thought it was Alan Cumming and after that Carl Barat from the Libertines. I think Alan Cumming looks a bit like Carl Barat.

I agree with you. I saw a photo of the filming of the LOST episode of "Flashes Before Your Eyes," when he was sitting next to Mrs. Hawking. Yep, he did look like an older John Lennon.

the only one, and I think he favors Rickman waaayyy over Hoffman. In fact, I've seen thousands of pics of Ian, and only one has ever caught my eye as resembling Hoffman.

Okay, I read the title of this thread and laughed. I thought someone meant Hoffman from the Saw movies and I thought, what is this person smoking? Just funny, but, yes, I think this guy is cute, and I do see a resemblance to a young Dustin Hoffman. I just got a bad impression of him in the two Special Victims Unit episodes.
