^LOL So True! Rob Pattinson and Brad Pitt have beards that make them look like homeless people who don't have access to a shower (no offense to the homeless).
McSteamy however pulls off he ugly beard cuz ..well, he just does!

I have a question, who's to say he can't grow a proper beard? To me it looks like he shaves it like that Not the way I'd ever wear my facial hair but this doesn't strike me as being about what he can or can't grow

I look best when I have three days growth so to achieve that I would need a trimmer than keeps it that way. I don't have one so I have to let it grow then shave it off and wait. He CAN grow what you call a proper beard but looks better with the Don Johnson.

he had really nice facial hair when he was first on grey's it was more of a chin strap/beard combo. But when he tries to grow out an actual beard yuck! it's all scraggly and uneven. Not a good look.
