I think by now he has got to know what ppl are watching Brotherhood and his others films like that. If he is going to show hot guyz in the boxer might as well show it all and stop the tease, I have given up on his films, as of late cause it is just a tease with bad acting, at least if he showed more I might actually start renting his films again.

I suspect the answer is simply rooted in marketing/distribution realities. Dave's said in DVD commentaries, etc (if memory serves) that full nudity causes difficulty in international distribution (and of course with the ratings board). I imagine explicitly portraying characters as gay might also be an issue. Keep in mind the guy works in indie and B scenes, so has to guard his niche in order to eat. It's not like he has a big studio behind him.
At the same time, avoiding certain lines allows him to push others. I once asked him how he got away with a certain VERY revealing shot in "Killer Bash," and he stated frankly that, because the actor wasn't nude, he was able to get away with it (a wet look shot that frankly revealed more than a nude shot would have). -

I like Speed demons I love cars I would have loved, LOVED!!! a scene in which one of the girls got "initiated" but I digress. I am a straight married guy and both my wife and I like this movie. we both love cars and I am sure the half naked guys doesn't hurt her interest in it. I personally don't care one way or another they're are 100's of movies with half naked girls running around and no one calls those movies "lezbo-erotic"
Even the beeping Trees walked in those movies. -

He has at least one film with an extended gay make-out scene (which was really odd when they got down to their underwear, because each guy pulled just the back of the other's underwear down so their asses were exposed, but nothing else) so I don't think he's afraid to make a gay movie once in a while
but really, with as many films as he makes, would it kill him to do one good one with a decent story and some scenes where they're definitely doing it?

Yes, it was Usher. Also, The Brotherhood 5 has a gay make out scene
However, his best movie by far is Leather Jacket Love Story
http://www.imdb.com/board/10119508/
which has an actual plot, full nudity, and some pretty steamy sex scenes. Oh, yeah, and the gorgeous guys he's known to cast.
No idea why, after that, he ended up with the endless tease flicks. His 1313 movies are a complete waste of time.

DeCoteau is the greatest casting director anywhere. His films are flush with exquisite male pulchritude. So whether the story or the acting is substandard doesn't matter. Watching for the magnificent array of beautiful bodies is reason enough.

Yeah, if he wants to make gay moviesmake gay movies. There IS an audience for that. Don't just film shirtless guys wandering around for an hour and a half spanning 15 movies.
Dave is openly gay, but for some reason his films are in denial. lol

lol, too true. Yay for the gay element but sure many more mainstream films have more gay content these days. Unfortunately De Coteau's films suck, predictable, poor script, practically all terrible actors. Surely it can't be too hard to hire some talented newbie writer out of college at least?
