Wow,some people are just too dense to figure out sarcasm What the topic creator wants to do, is showing the irony of the fact. A nation like USA, DESPITE the tecnology, still has problems like any other country. In another words, even being the most develop1354ed country and having lots of resources, episodes like that, still happen a lot

Pretty lame that she could be misdiagnosed twice and subsequently die from infections brought on by something as simple as pneumonia. Makes you wonder what the hell the point of paying for healthcare is.
If Im going to be misdiagnosed twice and then die because the so called genius experts Im paying to treat me are too stupid to recognize something as unheard of (sarcasm) as pneumonia then I might as well not have to pay for it.
Bring on the free healthcare, it cant be any worse or retarded than what we are already paying for. -

When my daughter was almost 2-years-old, I took her to the hospital 2 times because she had a 105 degree fever. She couldn't shake it. None of the brainiac doctors could figure out what was wrong with her. I finally was able to go to her pediatrician, and he figured out that she had strep throat.

Getting an infection caused by Pneumonia still means you die from Pneumonia because if you didn't get the Pneumonia, you would get the infection!!!
Of course Pneumonia can kill you! It's one of the leading causes of death. As an above poster said, there is no cure!!
It's an illness of the lungs which can make it very difficult to breathe that people have to go on ventilaters.
Next summer, the greatest battle lies within.

To OP, I am a neurosurgeon who works hard to treat varied central nervous illness and diseases of the brain, spinal cord and spine. Why should I, a person who had nothing to do with this woman's death, die? Your anger is uncalled for, unless you were actually related or in a close relationship with the now deceased.
FYI- the term "fan" is short for FANATIC.
