Her father is a doctor and went to medical school in Oklahoma, too bad he was not with her in her time of need. Seems that she died of asthma complicated by pneumonia. So that is a different situation than just pneumonia. It means she should have stayed in the hospital not get sent home with tylenol. This is an excerpt from the newspaper article:
"March 4, 2005 Shawnee, Oklahoma: A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday for Nicole DeHuff at the Cinema Centre 8 in Shawnee. Her parents, Dr. Michael and Patsie DeHuff, live in Shawnee.
DeHuff died Feb. 16 in Los Angeles from complications from pneumonia and asthma.
The 30-year-old Antlers native appeared in the movie "Meet the Parents" and has the female lead role in "Unbeatable Harold," which is set for release this year and stars Dylan McDermott and Charles Durning. She also had roles in the films "Suspect Zero," "See Arnold Run" and "The Court." In 2003, she played the lead role in "Billy the Kid," a play at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, Calif."
It is so tragic. -

He is a medical doctor. I live near Shawnee and I work with a woman who also works at the same hospital as Nicole's father, and she knows Dr. DeHuff. I believe he's more along the lines of a surgical doctor.
