The love fest everybody has for Tyrion is only equaled by the loathing revulsion everyone has for Joffrey.

Superb actor and he has the most amazing, mellifluous voice. It is actually still quite a shock, even in season two, when he is speaking some lines and then the camera angle changes and we see his physical stature again. I don't want to appear nasty or prejudiced but many small people have high voices that don't quite sound fully adult. This man was made to orate and deliver lines that ring with truth and beauty. No wonder he plays Shakespearean roles and has voice over roles. He certainly made this programme the success it is, it would have been far less interesting without the tiny scene stealer.

I'd say he's ONE of the good things about GoT, along with Arya, Danny and the dragons. I didn't really like his character at first, until i realized he was the SANE Lannister. He's not going to be the central character, but if you've read Dance with Dragons, you know he's about to end up in the thick of it (the crucial main plot of the story) along with se1908veral other important characters.

Tyrion is my favourite character and that's thanks to Peter Dinklage's interpretation. Varys is a close second. Their characters are magnetic, thanks to the actors playing them.
I adored the character of Trumpkin in the Narnia film, Prince Caspian - and only found out later he was played by Peter Dinklage. Some actors are simply that good! -

I agree OP.
I've only seen the first two seasons, and half of season three, but he's easily my favorite out of all of the characters. I honestly only find a couple of the other characters to be interesting and likable, whereas his character is well written and the most interesting, with a lot to work with.
The only other characters I can think of who I like, are Sandor, Arya Stark, Ned Stark, Danereys and that's about it. Sansa is OK, but a bit vapid and boring to me, probably due to her age, and Catelyn Stark is good, but I missed most of her moments.
Dinklage is the most interesting, due to his acting and his great dialogue. -

Totally agree. He is the reason why I am still watching the show. Honestly after being done with fourth season I didn't think I would continue, but his marvellous performance insisted me, and I am happy that I have started to watch the Fifth season. And the second character would be The Queen, Cersei's character. I mean sometimes it feels like I will punch in the monitor with her calm and cruel smile, but she is another great actress as well. These two characters are driving the show mostly, IMHO.
