If America banned its guns, would school shootings stop?

The real question is what is important and how do we protect it? So we obviously deem our evil politicians as important, our celebrities, our media people, our athletes, all of our singers at concerts, and most importantly our banks that hold all of our money. All of this is guarded by men with guns. Yet when it comes to our most innocent among us, our kids at school, we say the best way to guard them is with signs that say "Gun Free Zone." There is a reason mass shooters tend to target "gun free zones." They'll never attack an NRA meeting. Leftists get so angry when we on the right suggest we provide our kids with the same level of protection we provide our snake politicians and pedophile celebrities.

The general public shouldn't have access to any deadly weapon and idgaf what anyone says. Whether it be a gun, knife, crossbow.. there's absolutely no reason for anyone to be owning them.

Yes, but like anything it would take time. You could ban guns today but you wouldn't see the full benefit of it for at least a good 10 years, especially if there's over 300 million guns in the country. But you would feel good about it knowing you're changing your children's/loved one's future.

As it has been said. Criminals, gang members etc very rarely do school shootings. Itβs almost always some weirdo with a legal gun, so in that sense thereβs a good chance youβd stop a few shootings. Would it happen over night? Of course not. But in 20-30 years time when most guns are either defunct or out of ammo youβd see some change.
You have to start somewhere. Or live the risk of sending your kids to their death ( which obviously is very small, but higher than most if not all civilized nations)
Your choice
