Fired from Blue Bloods?

Just watched Blue Bloods and I was surprised to find Jennifer missingDon't understand the reasoning behind the "firing" or layoff. She was not in every scene.why not let her work lessIf she is gone for good they better find someone better than they had on toniteRight, her bland and colorless replacemant makes a big difference in the show. Not as interesting.

Well with her medical problems she had to take on a lesser work schedule but for her to remain Danny's partner she needed to be on the show full time. Now that she's not a full time member of a TV show she can work a more limited schedule without it being a problem for her, she can always take guest appearance gigs on shows and small roles into movies until she's ready to return to a more full time schedule.

If you read the article you would know that she cannot work on any show that airs opposite Blue Bloods and they are not releasing her from her contract. I don't believe she is being paid for her time off which is important. I'm no lawyer but I will guess that she has a prima facie case for discrimination under the ADA and the 1973 Rehabilitation Act. Which ideally establishes that under federal law CBS must make reason accommodation for her disability. What surprises me is that there are no bleeding heart liberal legal firms out there willing to help her fight CBS. She is an Hispanic minority. Where are all the lefties that are down on Big Corporations and supposedly stand up for the working man? Where is the outrage from disability advocate groups? I feel for her and agree that CBS is mistreating her.

The whole story is fishy. I'm wondering why CBS won't simply release her from her contract, unless they have plans to bring her character back at some point. She's also been in the business long enough to know that storylines can be altered week to week and there's no guarantee a show will remain high enough in the ratings to stay on the air.
Why wouldn't CBS give her a couple months off and then bring her back once she was recovered? Celiac disease is easily treated. Millions have it and are leading productive lives. I'm not sure why she can't get treated and start living again. It's not like she has a fatal illness.

If you read her story she said that she did not know what caused her ailments until after she was working on the show. Are you familiar with the 1973 Rehab Act or the Americans with Disability Act signed by Bush Sr? If she can prove she has a disability , she has rights and has a case.
I'm surprised there aren't any sympathetic liberal fans out there that are supporting her. Liberals are supposed to be for the minority and definitely not big corporations. I can only assume that liberals don't watch the show.

Well maybe that was the best thing that could happen to her. Spending so much time on a set just to be the "yes man" to Wahlberg's beep was kind of a waste.

For me, Jennifer MADE this show! She and Wahlberg! And, she was ABSOLUTELY the best partner for Wahlberg's character! They played off of each other great!
My wife hates that I scream every week "bring Jack back" at the TV! You are missed, Jennifer!
