Chemistry is everything!!!
If you watched the first season and then the second, you will see that Diane Farr has more chemistry with the other actors than the first girl. I thought the first girl was ok but Diane Farr is definitely, in my opinion, the better choice. Bringing her in was the best thing that could have happened to Numb3rs!
I am a huge fan of Numb3rs and I love Diane Farr!!! I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and I look forward to more. I also watch the new episodes every Friday night.
One last thing, I can't wait for Peter McNichols to come back. I love Kathy Najimy but it's not the same without Peter. Hopefully, when Peter comes back, they will keep Kathy as a posible love interest for Don and Charlie's father.
Diane Farr is beautiful in her own way and is a great actress. I hope to see more of her on television and in movies.
Go Diane Farr and Numb3rs!!!! -

You are definitely the one mistaken here, for no other reason then the fact that the only evidence in your favor is that "Shes the 3rd best character on NUMB3RS, and she does a terrific job with her role.".
I agree with the aforementioned posts particularly the one that said her timing is poor, and she delivers her lines like she is reading them out of a book. She doesn't come off even nearly as adept as her character requires.
Every time she brings up something about behavioral science I wonder at how this women could have possibly received a degree in what is her main course of study. Very, very poor acting. -

I wouldn't say her acting was bad, it just didn't seem to "fit" as an agent in Numb3rs. I think if she had one of the academic roles on the show, her style would have been perfect. Simple case of miscasting.
O' well wonder if Tia Texada is her replacement? -

I wonder do the person who made this thread work in hollywood, because if you don't, maybe you just need to keep non positive comments to yourself.

I always wonder why people who claim not to be a fan of some person's work, nevertheless come to their boards just to be negative. If you don't like her, why are you wasting your time here? Nothing better to do?
She's intelligent, imaginative, talented, warm, funny, and very womanly, in a really inspiring way, and that's something I say about almost no one, esp. of people in Hollywood. Nothing about her is fake not her body, not her hair, face she's true to herself. She's hilarious, witty, she's written a bookand in a profession where most of the union members are unemployed, she's carved out a very satisfying niche for herself, which I hope will expand and work well for her for a long and admired career.
Find someone you do like, and go be positive! -

Totally agree! As a fan of "Rescue Me", I was, needless to say, RELIEVED when her character left the show. Her voice itself is just plain annoying and I couldn't take it! I will honestly say that I haven't seen her in anything else, but I wouldn't venture out to say that I'd want to either.
Annie please, for God's sake.. -

I completely agree UGH I started watching the second season of Numb3rs and every single time she's on screen I can't stop cringing. Not including temporary characters in many TV series, she is the worst actress I have ever seenshe CANNOT ACT. She can't convey emotionand as you said, she has bad timing and can't deliver dialogue.
the rest of the cast of Numb3rs are fineI mean, they aren't the best actors in the world, but for the most part, they are good (especially Charlie). and its not their fault that whenever Diana Farr is in a scene, none of the characters have ANY chemistry with her. Its not their fault, they are doing the best job they can as actorsits her, she is absolutely AWFUL. UGH! I find her so irritating, and I haven't even gotten started on her personal qualities (looks, voice, etc) -

Too bad some people only seem care about superficial aspects of others. Everybody has good things about them, it just depends on who's doing the observation and bias they might have. It might cause them to lean toward the positive or the negative. How does voice and looks matter? I thought acting is about skill. If one doesn't find her skilled why criticize her personal characteristics? Why not just say you don't like her acting and call it a day. Seems superfluous. Not trying to be rude js.

You know I actually felt that she was a little bit off too the first time I saw her in Num3ers. However having recently watched "The Job" in which I thought she was properly funny, I have changed my mind. Re-watching Num3ers I find that her character softens the hard edge that runs through the show.
