I just learned that in American Schools they have to pledge Allegiance to the United States every morning That some North Korea indoctrination **** right there.

— 1 year ago(March 22, 2025 12:44 PM)Mainly for the super impressionable preschool/elementary school kids! At least when I was in school, during that time it was pretty mandatory that we all stand up straight, hand to heart, and we had better recite it along with the loudspeakers!
By middle school, the pledge was still said over the loudspeakers, but you didn’t necessarily have to recite it. You did, however, have to at least stand for it…can’t remember if hand over heart was still necessary. Also have vague memory of the school sending home permission slips to opt-out of it altogether.
Once high school hit, I hardly recall stating the pledge at all. I don’t even remember it coming over the loudspeakers either. Maybe just on, like, 9/11 and Veteran’s Day. -

Nah. A lot of wha t people assume about the south is exaggerated… but… some areas really live up to the stereotype. Really all depends on different factors.
The town where I went to school was very conservative. The God Warrior is from there. Even there, I didn't get in trouble for not saying the pledge.
