Actually it seems Craig has mostly Irish ancestry on both sides, if you think that counts.
Historically a whole lot of comedians/singers in the US have had Irish ancestry. Harder to think of ones having Scottish ancestry.

The man is Scottish, and he's proud of it. There are many great actors from Scotland, but they either get Americanized in films or they play a character that's either British or Irish, because that's more popular than being Scottish.
And I really wish Tommy Flanagan, who is also from Scotland, would be able to portray and represent his country more often. Instead, he is always cast as an Irishman (Braveheart, Sin City, Sons of Anarchy). It's good to see Craig be proud of being Scottish on his show. -

But surely, you cannot be joking??? Americans come in all types - though some are only exposed to the loud and obnoxious type. Also the US is more than NYC and LA . maybe you should check it out?
