The absolute best talkshow host.

Not only is he hilarious, but he's also a good TALKshow host. If his guest wants to trade jokes, that's just fine with him but if they want to be serious, he can actually hold an intelligent conversation with them. Compare to Letterman, who doesn't seem to take any interest in his guests at all, just laughs with/at them. I don't mean to belittle Letterman or other talkshow hosts, but I do want to point out how extraordinary Ferguson's ability of actually taking his guests seriously is in the world of late night TV. I really hope that he takes over the Late Show after Letterman retires, he deserves it.

I've never once seen Craig be serious with any guests. I only watch him when someone I really like is on there because honestly I can't stand him. He takes SOOO long to get people on there, it's like why even bother? Everytime he is just joking around though or talking about random awkward things and then says "okay I guess there is nothing else to talk about".I guess I just don't it, don't think I've laughed once.

While I can see how some people might not like his brand of humor (even though it baffles me ); no one in their right mind can question his ability to hold a serious conversation.

I just don't understand "his ability to hold a serious conversation". Every single time I have turned him to watch someone I like, he is ALWAYS rambling about something that really doesn't make sense or he's asking very stupid questions. I not yet once seen him talk seriously with anyone. A lot of times he's so busy talking about all this random stuff that he doesn't even have time talk to the person about what they are promoting which really is why they went on there in the first place. Not to mention that many times he takes FOREVER to get even the first guest out so then when they come on, they are on for maybe 5 minutes. Waste of time really.

I guess you haven't really watched much of Craig's , have you? FYI he has won a Peabody award for his interview of Desmond Tutu.

Well, yeah. Are you used to how interviews are conducted on other chat shows, so you're expecting Craig to do the same? ie: Ask all the pre-screened questions, and plug the products. If that's the kind of thing you like, you should look elsewhere. Craig doesn't really care about what the guest is there to plug he just wants to have a conversation with them.
Though, lately, he's been letting them plug their garbage like crazy. Which I find a bit disturbing.
Personally, I find it incredibly boring to see guests plugging the same stuff show after show after show, with the same boring anecdotes. shrug -

YES. Spent a whole day watching him interviewing actors that I know on YouTube. Too bad he isn't on TV over here in Malaysia and he doesn't have his own YouTube channel like Jimmy Kimmel or Ellen Degeneres. GET HIM ONE ALREADY.

I LOVE Craig Ferguson. I have never liked Conan or Letterman. Leno was the only one I ever found remotely funny. Enter Craig. Oh my gosh he's brilliant, hilariousand wonderfully endearing all at the same time. Long live CraigyFerg!

This is the only guy on TV that makes me laugh out loud.
He can elicit more laughs with just his facial expressions than Leno or Letterman can with a 15 minute monologue. Also, I like the fact that he keeps the political discourse to a minimum.
