I think it's true that he didn't belong in Letterman's slot and he knew it. His easy low structure (fabulous) style wouldn't have fit in a time slot the network needed to generate a lot of revenue. Indeed, it was almost too much for the later time. I've been watching for a long time and everything ends. I just hope he can find something that showcases everything he ca do like this show has.

My guess is that CBS is going for a younger demographic. I love him and I'm going to be 60 in a couple of weeks and my housemate, who is 88, also loves his show.
I can remember seeing his demo show when CBS was looking to replace Craig Kilborn. It was done in B&W and had Martin Landau. It won me over.
Maybe I can start going to bed earlier.

I'm sure not staying up for the crap CBS is putting on now. I would NEVER watch "The Talk" and nothing is worse than the stupid comics show after (Who needs 8 year old jokes at 2am?)
CBS would be better off showing Craig reruns.
