Ed Flanders was Great in Salem's Lot(1979).
This is a Truly Classic Vampire Filmand the BEST version of
    the Stephen King story.

I agree. What an incredible actor. He made the role so interesting and multilayered. I love the scene where Marjorie Glick rises from the dead to join the undead and Dr. Norton slashes her arm.

Flanders was great as a radical skeptic doctor who becomes a true believer after he sees a woman return to ghoulish life as a vampire.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
