gonna go ahead and differ from the rest of yall and say Gene. He's always been my favorite. I could give a $#it whether he's an @$$hole or not. He's a damn good bassist and writes great songs. And whichever KISS fan does not like songs like "I Love it Loud" "War Machine" "Unholy" or "God of Thunder" (although it was recorded with the original lineup) definitely needs their examined.

That song was written by Paul Stanley. And I don't like any of the other songs you mentioned aside from "Unholy", so I suppose I need my "head examined".
Gene isn't a great songwriter at all. He's written a few good songs and a whole load of stinkers. Ace was superior in songwriting. Gene is a great performer, that's all. -

I just saw the VH1 Rock honors show and all I can say is KISS sucked but the tribute band (Rob Zombie, Scott Ian, Tommy Lee, Slash) and a certain someone from planet Jendal were far superior. THey played God OF THunder and Ace stole the show!!!!! I was glad to see him shove it in Gene and PAuls faces

the only KISS members that truly make KISS kick ass are Pab68ul, Gene, Ace, and Peter. No beep Vinnie, he sucks. With those four, only then is it truly KISS. and Gene and Ace are the best, but Paul and Pete still kick ass.

I've always liked Gene. My brother is, and always has been, in a wheelchair. He got backstage in '98 and the band as a whole was cool to him. Gave him and autographed a t-shirt and leather jacket. Sorry guys, he said Ace was the biggest dick of them all. He complained about autographing the stuff and wouldn't say anything to him. He said Peter, who he never really liked, was the nicest of the 4.
Ace, in my opinion, is a good guitarist, but not the greatest. Not even the best in the band's history. That goes to Bruce.
