They don't really look all that alike, only that Anna shares some of the same expressions and mannerisms as Zooey.

I think Zooey is cute, nothing too greatnot beautiful, just very cute.
On the other hand I think Anna is a (very) less attractive version of Zooey.
Anna looks like Zooey, if she was beat with an ugly stick, if you will.

They don't look alike. I think Pushing Daisies would be worse with Zooey because she's everywhere, and that would make the show less fresh. I never thought the actress Anna Friel was very good or pretty but she's not bad and she grew on me.
