He really works hard on bringing genres back to life(28 days later)after horror has been butchered by so many films if you can call them that. I would've like to have seen a script from him of I Am Legend. His biggest inspiration was the book so I would've liked to have seen his view on the novel

I still loved the beach as a movie because of the idea. I plan on worshiping the very ground AG stands on. He shall revive the industry. In Garland we trust.

Except for his overwhelming problems with plot, characterization, logic, dialogue, and endings, as well as the fact that he mistakes death for the height of drama, yes, I agree: he's very nearly one of the six billion best writers on the planet. "Sunshine" was like an early draft of "Alien" put through the wash by mistake. Exactly what "industry" is he to revive? The art of the shallow rip-off?

I have to say, since seeing and then reading The BeachI look forward to anything Garland puts out. He is a young writer that I think will only get better with time.
I did try reading the Tesseractdidn't get very far before I put it down however. Besides that everything else I love. -

everything else apart from the Tesseract (which was unreadable) is a rip off of Lord of the Flies/Day of the Triffids/The Bridge etc
Cambridge man you know. His uncle Bertie and I used to break wind for our college.
