I really loved all his novels, but he hasn't made any in like years! I read The Tesseract, The Coma and The Beach.

Doesn't look like it. I loved The Beach and The Coma. The Tesseract was okay, but IMO easily the weakest of the three
He's too busy writing Halo and Dredd 😞 😞 😞

He sounded disillusioned with writing novels for today's market in an interview, saying things like "you're only as good as your last book". I know exactly how he must feel, as I've tried to get novels published myself. I think he'll stick to screenplays for now.

Looks like he made a great transition.
I loved the Beach novel, hated the movie, but I really liked 28 Days Later and Dredd.
Based on how he adapted Dredd, I can't wait to see his take on Logan's Run, and I'm hoping Dredd has a sequel.

I dunno it looks like the Hollywood world of screenplays is worse than the publishing world of novels.
I've heard it said that in Hollywood you're only as good as your last movie.
Either way it's not easy being a writer.
