The Coma was great, although I could have done without the art by his father. Garland needs to put more out there. I find him a great novelist, but he's only got three books so far! I hope he doesn't become a fulltime screenwriter.

I
Alex Garland. I do hope he does get back to writing some good long novels (The Coma was short [although good] and it just whet my appetite for another great novel).
I'm seeing about starting the first Alex Garland fansite; we'll have pictures of Alex Garland inside big hearts with pink outlines.
Yah, that'd be hilarious.

Loved "The Beach" "Tesseract" was ok, left me expecting something more at the end, although not quite sure what. I'm about to start "The Coma" and hopefully I'll enjoy it as well.

I loved "The Beach" - I haven't seen the film, and don't intend to, as Hollywood probably messed it up really bad, like most films that are adapted from a novel. I want to read "The Coma", but it'll be a while, as I've got a huge list of books I have to read for college and books I've been meaning to read for a long time.

He's my favourite writer, The Beach being my favourite novel. Hey question for anyone who has read Coma, at the end it says something like you should be able to guss my job by now. Did anyone get what the guy did?
