Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Barbara Garrick

    Dracula130 — 21 years ago(April 21, 2004 09:49 AM)

Barbara Garrick has got to be one of the most underrated actresses in Hollywood. Why doen't she do more? She Should! I was just running over some year-old episodes of "One Life to Live", and she was great as the wacky Allison. I look forward to seeing her in the new movie Lobster Farm!
Allison: "Keep a lid on it. Give me a headache, and I'll muzzle you PERMANENTLY!!

I'm a Barbara Garrick fan. Allison Perkins, her character on OLTL, was one of the best soap villians ever IMO. That was such a fun summer in 2002 when she and Lindsay broke out of jail and were on the run!
Professional Jayne Mansfield fanatic/lover since 1980.

I remember her on OLTL in the 1980's with Oscar winner Eileen Heckart playing her mother. I was glad that they brought her back years later. Didn't she speak the final lines on the network broadcast?
I also remember her as the blackmailing nurse on GL who got murdered by her own sister. Watching her now in Tales of the City.
