Maybe it's just me her skin tone and color around her eyes organ failing??
If it made sense for makeup on the TV series I wouldn't wonder, but it doesn't.
If I knew how to raise the question so she could get herself checked out I would -

I actually came here to ask the same question. I'm certainly not saying she's not pretty, she's adorable. Absolutely gorgeous. But I noticed the same thing around her eyes, and her skin. Just looks like she might be dealing with some kind of illness. I hope not, though, I really like her and her acting. Maybe the makeup department is doing it on purpose to give her the "world-weary cop" look?

This actress is beautiful, and does not appear sick to me. The makeup and the part she plays will determine how they film each scene. In the current show Lucifer, she looks perfectly normal. If she was ill, other actors and support staff would offer her the help necessary to get well. I don't think we need to suggest things we don't know about. Just my opinion.

It's clear she botoxed her lips. I hate this. And, she is much skinnierif this is at all possible. I think she's starving herself. Hollywood's warped sense of beauty. She's 38. And, she's beautiful. It makes me sad.

It could be the makeup, could be the lighting. People are blaming it on her age. I have seen plenty of women in her age group and older who use the best moisturizers and facial washes that brighten the skin and make it look youthful. There are tons of products that do wonders for the skin no matter how old you are. I'm sure she has access to every single product out there considering she's an actor. I've watched interviews with her and she always looks stunning. I blame her sickly look for the way the makeup people are messing with her face for the show.

dark circles under ones eyes could mean sickness or could mean absolutely nothing, and just chalked up to ones natural skin complexion. i have dark circles under my eyes to the point that it looks like I've been in a fight everyday and I'm walking around with permanent black eyes. I've seen my doctor about it, the answers i got went anywhere from iron deficiency, to sleep deprivation, to cancer, to nothing wrong at all. with answers like that a trip to the doctor certainly wouldn't hurt. better safe than sorry as the saying goes.
for the record though, her eyes look a damn sight better than mine do, perhaps hers are a little tired looking. i personally however would chalk that up to her working hard at her job, an effort for which i think we can all appreciate. if it does become a chronic problem however i would urge her to please visit a doctor, lest it actually turn out to be something serious and needing medical attention.
oh and to all you people here whom are taking this thread as an attack on her outstanding beauty, let me tell you it's not. believe it or not the appearance of a persons skin can actually tell you a lot about that persons health. plenty of health problems can manifest warning signs in the appearance of skin, eyes, nails, and even hair. you only need to know what to look for.
you don't believ238e me? go ask your family doctor, I'm sure his answer will surprise you.
P.S. i love her work on screen. i hope she keeps it up

I came here because I wondered the exact same thing.
And please note: I'm not beauty or body shaming her in any way. She is an absolutely beautiful actress (who looks a decade younger than she is, too).
But yes, I agree with those who have worried about her health. She has a pinched look and deep, very noticeable shadows around her eyes that are especially apparent in certain light it's not a makeup effect, it's physical. And that look is usually the marker of some kind of illness.
This season, it's even more pronounced, so I hope she's okay.I keep thinking I'm a grownup, but I'm not.
