Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Mamie Gummer

I've only seen the first season of The Good Wife but, along with Gary Cole and Christine Baranski, Mamie Gummer was excellent.

She was fantastic in her role in TGW. I haven't seen her in anything else nor was I aware of her being a Streep.
Her role was to be a devious young lawyer and played it so well.
I understand nepotism exists but at the end of the day if she truly sucked she wouldn't have gotten the job.

She was GREAT in that role. I'm binge-re-watching, and I love every ep with her. I haven't seen her in anything else, but if this role is any indication, then she's very talented, and people who are down on her should chill and give her a chance. Sometimes being the child of someone famous is a terrible disadvantage meanies assume that the parents are responsible for the kid's career when in fact the kid has quite a lot of talent.
