To be perfectly frank, I'm not one to know families of stars.
My husband and I just saw "Evening'.
We argued all the way home and through dinner re " was she or wasn't she Meryl
Streep.
I kept saying they used an awful lot of makeup to make her look so young.
But thanks to IMDB the mystery was solved.
The only reason we went to the movies, was that our air conditioner was out and living in Fl. that is a no no.
I actually had mixed feelings re the movie,
My husband as usual took a nice long nap,
I do believe, that if we had read the book, we might have enjoyed it.

The movie itself wasn't that great.it could have been better written and some things expanded.the acting however was amazing.. they had an imensely superb cast..reallyyou couldn't ask for better actors/actresses. I was in love with each one by the end of the movieand sought out each one's different movies just to watch. For the first time seeing Mammie Gummer in a movie, I thought she did wonderfully! I can't wait to see her in another. Her mother is my favorite actress and she is not far behind.
