is it just me, or does Linda Gray look remarkably similar to Katherine Ross who played Elaine Robinson in the Graduate? In fact, when I first saw the movie recently, I thought that I recognised the actress playing Elaine Robinson as someone I had seen in "Dallas", but in the IMDB listing for Dallas, I could find no mention of Katherine Ross. But then I looked at the pics of Linda Gray and realised that I had mistaken Katherine Ross for her.
And the freaky thing is that Linda Gray has been involved with the Graduate as well according to the trivia section about her, it was her leg that features on the movie poster, and she also played the part of Mrs Robinson in the stage version of the Graduate. -

Remarkably, myself and my girlfriend got back from a showing of Donnie Darko recently with 2 friends. An older Katherine Ross plays the psychiatrist in that film, and while we were watching it, we were wracking our brains to remember who it was (she was quite a bit older). In the end we remembered Katherine from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as well as The Graduate. Thing is, when we came out after the film, it turned out that our friends beside us had also been wracking their brains to remember where they had seen the actress years before, but they had concluded it was Sue Ellen from Dallas! We argued for a bit, but we knew we were right. Uncanny. I don't even think Linda Gray looks like Katherine Ross; and neither does my girlfriend.

Interestingly there were many neolithic Syrian immigrants to Europe about 9,000 years ago bringing the continent its first farming (see book 'Journey of man' by Spencer Welles). Today's European descendant like beauty Linda Gray and myselfoften look Syrian. Ross is I think Jewish (of ancient Syrian lineage as well). Why the somewhat resemblance to some (I do not quite see it myself though).
