Elizabeth Hartman had worked with Francis Ford Coppola in 1967's You're A Big Boy. He offered her a role in The Godfather & sadly she declined. I dont know which role. Had she accepted, this may have assisted her in gaining more major roles. Although she had been Oscar nominated for her 1st movie, she wasn't a household name. Most of the actors in The Godfather, even in small roles benefited greatly (Pacino, Duvall, Keaton, Shire, Caan). Appearing in The Godfather was almost as good as winning an Oscar or nomination. May she rest in peace.

Must have been Kay. Who else? No guarentee appearance in TG would have salvaged her career or her life. She most likely had major emotional problems all along which career success couldn't cure.
Do you know that guy?
No. But he's a dick.
