after all, his chair and the computer that does all the speaking for him can be controlled by anyone with a remote control.
its possible that hes just a braindead person used by someone as a puppet to make lots of money.
It's not easy banging you heart against some mad bugger's wall.

I wouldn't call the topic poster an idiot. Given the circumstances, his theory is very possible. It's extremely unlikely though, because it would be extremely unethical to use a person in this way, and I'm sure someone would know by now. And also, someone with that much intelligence would want the world to know who they really were, rather than act as a muse for someone else.

"it would be extremely unethical"
HAHAHA! No offence, but that's pretty stupid. When it comes to something specific, that person/group will completely ignore the concept of ethnical acts to achieve their goal.
As for the OPs theory, it's possible. There isn't really much of a way to know for 100% sure, but it's incredibly unlikely. -

First of all, if Stephen Hawking was brain dead or just dead, everyone knowing the truth would have to be willing to cover it up and keep it a secret. Then they would have to agree to lie or find a replacement, which would necessitate getting even more people involved and guaranteeing their silence, and be intellectually brilliant enough to fool the entire scientific community and world at large.
It's most obvious that he is not brain dead. He has some movement demonstrated by his ability to ub68se a screen to pick out words he wants to say. I think he used to use his finger but now he can only use his cheek. You can watch video footage of him forming words.

I attended a lecture by Hawking about 20 years ago before he had the use of a computer to communicate. He sure didn't seem brain dead then. His assistant had to interpret what he was saying because he had such a hard time talking though. It was a very interesting lecture. Very hard to sit through because of the way he talk. Sounded like a drunk with a high pitched voice.

Your right absolutely right.
For some recording he uses a Stunt Voice computer.
And for those he can not be bother to turn up to he uses a stand in voice computer .
Claiming those saps will never see/hear the difference and I still pick up the big fat cheque! -

Who the **** knows… I hate that guy, my hate for him is the most I have of any human being. He is so full **** I can't take anything he says as fact.
He is not smart, well maybe smarter than the average idiot, but he does not know the truth. He is making up his own bullshit truth which means nothing.
You wait the future will prove what I said is the truth not what he says!
