Lara Jill Miller takes the prize for worst KID actor ever, but Lauri gets the prize for worst TEENAGE actor on a tv show - EVER! Did she get acting advice from Lara Jill Miller or something? Because for some odd reason Lauri's acting skills got WORSE as the series continued.
Lara Jill Miller pouted all the time, shouted her lines and never looked anyone in the eyes. She would look ABOVE people's heads as they spoke. And she even mouthed other actor's lines (Ricky Shroeder did that on Silver Spoons too) and she only had two "acting" levels - sad2000 and mad. She pouted ALL the time.
Lauri on the other had smirked all her lines and acted like what she was saying was the most important information for the teenage generation. When she was "acting" like she didn't want to get in that Silver Slipper elite group she said her lines all monotone and if I was her acting coach I would have advised her to say it jokingly, tongue-in-cheek because she really did want to get into that group and she was sad that she was rejected but she tried to cover it up but she didn't recite the lines as they were intended to be played. The lines were tongue-in-cheek but she said them like she was giving a eulogy but with no expression (if that makes sense).
I think Nell and Dolph were awesome on GAB and the eldest daughter, forgot her name, but they carried that show and made it what it was, but Lara Jill and Lauri reminded me I was watching a scripted show with low-paid kid actors who may look good on film but were horrible at reciting lines. It's like they went from playing the toothpaste in a kid's play about hygeine and got hired on the spot for a prime-time TV show.
What the???
Take it easy. We're not making a western here.
