Absolutely. Best known for his work in the sixties and seventies. This guy was an icon and was always good in anything I've seen him in. Pity he died so yuong but like so many actors of his generation he was fond of a drink. Nonetheless, he was a great actor. RIP Ian.

Astonishing scene as Eric Paice opposite Caine's Carter at the racecourse in Get Carter. The dramatic dislike between the two characters is mirrored by the personal emnity between the two actors and the screen sizzles like Scorsese's 'that you should see' scene in Taxi Driver and Pesci's 'How am I funny?' in Goodfellas.
