You do not plan something for 7 years, do it, then call it an "accident"

What makes you think he planned this for 7 years? So you knew him when he was 19?

""Here is My Theory on Whether Jon Eric Hexum Commited Suiside or Not?
Based on all of the evidence that I have read on the case, I don't believe that he did. I believe that at the time of his death there was something extremely fishy going on. The odd part about the whole situation is that by one account no one ever saw Hexum pull the trigger of the .44 magnum revolver which he supposedly killed himself with. The part that I find most conflicting and suspicious is that supposedly all of the crew members who where on the set when Jon Eric Hexum supposedly shot himself claimed that they never saw it happen.
But, yet by other accounts and research about Hexum's death, states that supposedly there where witnesses who not only saw Hexum supposedly put the .44 magnum to his right temple, reports said that a witness supposedly saw him smile and claimed that he made a statement as he pulled the trigger-very, very, suspicious. What I find most suspicious is the supposed weapon which was used to shoot Hexum with. The odd part surrounding the description of the weapon on Jon Eric Hexum's death certificate specifically stated that it was a .44 calbur magnum revolver which he was supposedly accidently shot with which caused the fatal wound that unfortunately killed him.
When, I closely examined the weapon which Hexum used in the last episode he ever made on the day of his fatal shoot, by reviewing Cover-Up Episode 8: "Golden Opportunity", I noticed that this same weapon Jon Eric was handling in the scene where he was sitting on the bed and for the next two scenes was not a Smith &Wesson .44 magnum revolver, but was in fact a Smith &Wesson .38 calibur special-bodyguard . There is a huge difference between a S&W .38 calibur special-bodyguard and an S&W .44 calibur magnum revolver. In no way can a S&W .44 magnum revolver be confused with an S&W .38 calibur special-bodyguard it just isn't possible to do so because of the vast differences in the weapons.
The S&W .44 magnum has a 2" to a 4'' barrel which is a heavier, sturdier gun with a reputation for having the ability to stop anything in it's tracks as well as a nasty recoil, which would blow anything that the S&W .44 round touched back about a minumum of six inches or more, including a blank round-especially if the .44 magnum is fired at point blank range. A round of the .44 magnum is longer and taller than a .38 calibur special-bodyguard and this round of the .44 magnum revolver usually has 1/3 more powder per load because of a taller, wider chamber than a .38 caliber special-bodyguard.
Because of the lenght of the barrel of the .44 magnum revolver, the powder load of a .44 round, the barrel of the .44 being sealed by being pressed up against the temple as in Jon Eric Hexum's case as well as the nasty recoil which the .44 magnum is famous for, eminating out of the barrel with no place to disperse but the temple of the forehead. The result of the bone being discharged into his skull would have been the size of a half dollar and not a quarter as his death report stated, if the weapon that killed him was in-fact a .44 magnum. Where as a .38 calibur special-bodyguard could very well disperse a quarter sized chunk of bone at point blank range if applied to the temple. While reviewing the last Cover-Up episode number 8 where Jon Eric was sitting on the bed and loading the .38 calibur special- bodyguard, I saw a man who knew how to handle guns even though he was exhausted filming it is my opinion that based on all of this evidence Jon-Eric Hexum would have never killed himself even in an exhausted state.
In my opinion, someone wanted the world and Jon-Eric Hexum's family and friends to believe that he foolishly brandished the weapon which he supposedly accidently killed himself with. This same someone whoever they are, I believe is behind the killing of Jon Eric Hexum and tried to cover it up on October 12, 1984 the day that Jon Eric Hexum was shot. I also believe that this same person was somehow linked to the show Cover-up which I believe wasn't doing financially well at the time. It is also my opinion that this same someone had alot to gain by taking out a big life insurance policy on Jon Eric Hexum. In my opinion, whoever it was that had taken out a big insurance policy on Jon Eric Hexum was using poor unsuspecting Hexum to recoup their losses.
It is also my opinion that the .38 calibur-"bodyguard" which Jon Eric Hexum used in the last episode of Cover Up that he ever shot: "Episode 8-Golden Opportunities" was replaced with a .44 magnum at the time of his death on set and the weapon used to kill Jon Eric Hexum with was never found. I also believe that it was the same someone who I believe to be behind Jon Eric's killing was the person who took the murder weapon which killed Jon Eric Hexum and disapeared with the weapon, leaving the world as well as Jon Eric Hexum's family and friends to believe that he commited suicide."".
