Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jon-Erik Hexum

    bfan — 17 years ago(August 01, 2008 02:54 AM)

A new book has just been released called "The Show Must Go On" that discusses what happens when a lead actor dies during production of a TV series. One chapter is totally dedicated to Jon-Erik and "Cover Up." It includes all new interviews with "Cover Up" producers Glen A. Larson, Bob Shayne, and Brian Lane; as well as with Richard Anderson, E.G. Daily, James D. Parriott, Guy Magar, Meeno Peluce, and Jon-Erik's cousin Eric Paulsen. It covers Jon-Erik's rise to fame and his final days, the accident on "Cover Up" and what went on behind-the-scenes after his death.
It can be ordered on Amazon.com. The author is Douglas Snauffer and publisher is McFarland.

I really don't think the writer did his research on this one, he got simple facts wrong, like Jon-Erik being Older than his brother, that's wrong, he was younger. Jon's father didn't leave the family when he was nine, he was about 5..and omg,he spelled PHINEAS BOGG wrong! He spelled it Phinneus??!?! The omni..EGG-SHAPED? it's not an 'omnilet!!'
otherwise it was well written, focused on the attributes rather than the dirt.
