Hi Catherine,
First, I want you to know how much I admire your work and the message
it sends. I love you on 7th Heaven and want to be just like you Annie
Camden-a stylish, attractive hip mom who still has values and ethics!!
Bravo for that message!. I noticed on your complete website a filtered
section with some shall we say questionable material-at first I didn't
think it was you=but found out later that apparently it was. May I ask
how you combine your apparent morals and deep belief in you religion
(which I completely respect-especially setting examples for young
women and your pro-life stance and yet feel comfortable with the other
Hollywood demands placed on you in movies, etc. or have you changed
you mind on that as well and would no longer be involved in certain
movies and material. I mean this earnestly and with complete respect
for you-I agree with so much you say and stand for. I would be honored
to receive an answer if possible and time allows-it would mean a lot.
Sincerely,
M. Fotheringham
You really are a role model to me in so many ways!!!!!!! -

You certainly have a right to your opinion. I'm just here to express
mine and converse with other people like you. Thank you for your
response. Diversity makes the world go round. I would never put down
another person's belief-thank you for being respectful. I happen
to agree with Catherine Hicks on this topic, but it's a feeling
every woman and man must make for themself and be able to live with
and feel good about. Please feel free to respond to my messages
anytime-we may not always agree-but I feel we can have some good
discussions. Sincerely!!mf -

What makes you think anyone gives two straws what you would do if you got pregnant? You don't shock anyone, who cares about you? You lefty libs make me laugh, you are so convinced everyone is just dying to know what you think and what you do.

How do you know that she stands for the same things as the role she plays on T.V. Do you have any links to prove this? Oh and she was in 8 days a week and played a role that you may perceive as questionable. Anyway that movie came out when 7th-heaven was on I believe.

I was not referring to her stance on aboration, I was referring to her appearence in a movie nude and another with strong sexual content. Not saying I find it bad, but many in the Catholic community might. And the fact that she has appeared in such roles may mean she is not as devoted as she appears to be, or that some say she is.

It's called acting. I haven't seen Catherine in much of anything, and never anything questionable, but if she did a movie or TV show and played a character with questionable ethics remember it's just acting. Actors play characters lots of times who are nothing like them. Tracey Gold played a genius on Growing Pains, but in real life she barely passed her classes. Ellen Degeneres played straight characters for years before she came out. Do you think the actor who played Michael Myers was a psycho killer, too?
Actors do parts that appeal to them for various reasons. Sometimes it's fun for them to pretend to be someone who is the opposite of them. -

wow you really pointed out the obvious. I understand all of that. But normally if someone is super religous they would not do anything even in their job that went against their religion. Like swearing, appearing nude, etc. Obviously it is acting all im saying is she cant be that devoted if she is doing things like that. Many actresses have shyed away from roles that they thought were unbecoming so say want you want, all im saying is to get over it. My post was in response to the original post about how hollywood is sending the wrong message. Anyway.
