You think there is a chance he will be mentioned in the 2012 IN MEMORIAM at the Oscars this year?
His zombie character in Night of the Living Dead is easily one of the most recognizeable characters in films the last 40+ years. It's almost synonymous with the film-zombie.

That would be amazing. I would probably flip if they did it, although I'm not sure how much appreciation the Academy gives low budget horror.
