You want to know the real reason why they chose Kirzinger over Hodder?
Because New Line didn't want to match Robert Englund's salary to Kane Hodder's (something Kane was entitled to BTW having done the role 4 times). It had nothing to do with performance, height or any of the other BS that came from either Ronny Yu's mouth or the various New Line CEO's either.
It was ego and politics plain and simple.

Ken was possibly the worst. Maybe it's because of how non-scary Jason looks in the movie because he just reminds me of a retarded puppy. Ken has the most innocent and non-threatening eyes in terms of Jason.

The wrost jason is Warrington Gillette from part 2 and Tom Morga from part 5 (dream sequences).
others actors are all great.
Kane is the best, after i put CJ from part 6 and Derek from remake and Ken from FvJ

ok sorry, and i agree abo2000ut CJ, very cool as Jason, and Jason Lives is one of my favourite movie, but Kane used a body language all his own, inimitable.
His way of breathing quiet, but aggressive, absolutely great.

I agree with the OP. Kane was alright but not the best.
I thought Ted White, Richard Brooker and Derek Mears were much better.
I'm a big fan of the original Jason(Ari Lehman) and the reason I love the franchise.
