The man was brilliant, creative, and strived for perfection. He was charming and I believe women dont like dumb men. He had his pick because he was adventureous. He loved women so it was easy and he flew his own test planes. Would any of the ladies on this thread say no to a date from HH?

He was no more of a racist than any of the racists of his times. See the whole historical and cultural context he lived in.
He was an attractive man by all accounts despite his flaws, for certain.

Howard Hughes was handsome in his prime but when time and old age set in he was something else. Ever seen that Simpson episode when Mr Burns builds his own Casino and becomes cranky and weird? That's more or less what Hughes looked like at the end of his life. You could call him hot in the same way you could call Marlon Brando hot. As for his racism I agree with polettwinst.

Yeah, I think he was really cute when he was young.
When he got older, he started looking like a creepy
old man, but he was seriously hot as a young man.
Hot, Rich and smartcan't get much better.
P.S. I didn't know he was that tall either! Even better.

"He is pretty hot! I guess that's why he got all those women."
There are lots of "pretty hot" poor guys, yet they would never have a chance with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Britney Spears, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Simpson, etc.
Howard Hughes was hot and - most importantly - ultra-RICH.
Not to mention daring, intelligent, passionate, etc. T5b4o go with his money and his looks, he was interesting and exciting.

Did it ever occur to you that it just might be that it's the people of today, raised in the mass media age, who're brainwashed and run scared to death and apologize for living when called things like "racist"? Take today's leaders for example. Do they seem wiser and of better character than those of the hundreds of past generations that you probably think were either terrible or ignorant? Remember, they weren't exposed to the constant electronic brainwashing that we have been. They had to rely on their instincts to tell them what to think.
Hughes was a dashing man in his youth. No doubt, when you have that much money your life is bound to be mysterious to the public, for a lot of reasons. And everybody gets old and "cranky" to different extents.
