the Spruse Goose is in McMinnville Oregon. I've seen it from the road many times driving by. I grew up in McMinnville Oregon pretty much and saw it there alot. I still see it sometimes when I go up to visit. I now live in Albany Oregon which is a bit south of McMinnville.

If I'm not mistaking, the Hercules airplanes are in use all over the world transporting heavy tanks, military supplies, food and medicine for countries in need of aid? The swedish airforce used them when transporting our UN soldiers to former Jugoslavia.

You are mistaken. There was only ever one Hughes "Spruce Goose" Hercules and it was only ever flown once.
Did you have a good world when you died? Good enough to base a movie on?

Yes I know that, but there were other planes built inspired by Hughes, also called Hercules. This is a swedish URL but check out the pics of it.

Well I guess this amazing man made an impression all over the world, he is actually well known in Sweden, being the one who beat Charles Lindbergh in flying skills 🙂

The plane you are referring to is made by an American company called Lockheed. It is in use all over the world. The US military used it from the 1960's well into the 1990's. It is a very versatile plane5b4, used for transporting troops and supplies and also to being used as a gunship, armed with many guns and missiles. It was also used as a reconnaissance plane. The name for the plane was the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Different variations of the plane had different names, also. The combat version was called the Combat Talon, if I am not mistaken. Here is a sample:
                Primary Role Specialized Model/Variant:
Tactical Airlift All models, including the new C-130J:
                Attack Gunship AC-130 (Spectre/Spooky II)
                Drone Control DC-130
                Combat Communications C-130B (Talking Bird)
Command and Control EC-130E (ABCCC / Commando Solo)
                Electronic Warfare EC-130H (Compass Call)
                Maritime Patrol HC-130H, EC-130V
                Arctic/Antarctic Support LC-130 (formerly C-130D)
Special Operations MC-130E/H (Combat Talon), MC-130P (Combat Shadow)
                Aerial Refueling HC-130N/P, MC-130E, MC-130P, KC-130
                Search and Rescue HC-130N/P, HC-130H, EC-130V
                Weather Reconnaissance WC-130

I went inside the Spruce Goose when it was in Long Beach California. It was placed in this huge domed warehouse. They allowed us to walk right in and I have to admit it gave me a little strange feeling because they had a mannequin that looked so much like him sitting in the cock pit. However, I have to say it was really fantastic thing to see, and go into. A fantastic unique experience of American and Aviation history.
