Why did she leave "Dynasty"? She had worked her way up from a supporting character to an opening credit actress. She married Adam in season 7 but was gone by the end of season 8 and clearly she could have continued on for season 9 (wasn't Dana supposed to have been pregnant by the end of season 8? I haven't seen those episodes in yearsbut you'd think Adam would have wanted his child around).
I was just wondering if anyone knew why she left. Was it her decision? The producers? What's the story? She was very good as Dana and I wish she'd stayed on the show. -

I read it was a mutual decision because she felt very stifled in the role. They wanted her to play her character exactly as written without any improvisation or embellishment, and she was used to being more inventive and free form after years on Days of Our Lives.
