why not promote the human rights abuses, the environmental abuses, and China's murderous foreign policy by carrying that torch high.

It says here that she has an economics degree from Cambridge,but listening to her interview about the torch issue she does not sound very bright.
She did not have to do this run,she is not an ex athelete is she ?
I am very anti China's actions in occupied TIBET but I wish the trendy middle classes who are the main people protesting about TIBET would remember that everybody in CHINA is living in a corrupt Stalinist dictatorship.
If China left Tibet would it be ok to have normal relations with it ?
Some of these people are simple minded in any case,London has to take part in the torch business because it is the next host city.
Perhaps in the future this Torch business will get stopped,think it was started by the nazis in 1936 anyway. -

you have to ask yourself a few questions there before you accuse someone of "condoning china"
- who made my computer mouse
- who made my keyboard
- who made the clothes i am waring right now
- who made practically everything i own?
answer: MADE IN CHINA probably by underage slaves, whipped every second of the day and get payed in diseases

I am not clear who your comments are aimed at.
I am in no doubt that the so called People's Republic Of China is an evil corrupt dictatorship that treats all its people badly.
I care about Tiber of course but why do people ignore what they do to people who are not from Tibet but are citizens of China ?
Not everything you own will have been made in China,a lot of it will be but some of it will have been made in much freer but still less than perfect places in Asia. -

Yes it is difficult to source ethically made items, however wherever possible I do so.
I like China, have been several times, and enjoyed the country and culture. I do however think that one should at all times, use any platform to expose the crimes against humanity and their devastating environmental policy.
