I don't see where your going with this?.are you stupid? katharine isnt bitchy, she isnt that low rate of an actress becuz i live in Texas and i know about her so maybe her movies arent big like american movies but so what she'll get there and when she does she'll big huge and you dont think those skanky american actresses arnt bitchy, being bitchy is a fact of life get over it

Sure most american actresses are bitchy, that's not the point. The point is she's whining about having to do tv shows to pay the rent. She's lucky she's even getting a chance to do anything.
There are actresses who are getting worse roles than her that have more talent.
And she was crying because Freddy vs. Jason didn't live up to her expectations acting-wise. So what? She knew going into the movie what she was getting into. It's not like they kept the script from her or forced her into it.
She should be happy that she's working and that some people actually know who she is.

She isn't American, Soul_2000n.if that is your real name. She's North American, but not American. She is 100% Canadian. A movie star doing a television show means one of two things. Either it's a step back for the actress/actor, or the television show is extremely good or popular, like the Simpsons (season 3-8) or Friends. I was never a fan of friends.. Smallville is a great show..if you are 13 and aren't quite old enough for the real Superman. Another thing, do you think actors that are in a beep movie don't realize it? Of coarse they do. It's a job. If a person works at mcdonalds for minimum wage, they have a right to complain. They knew what they were getting into. She was more or less picking apart her career rather than complaining about it. She probably get's paid about the same for tv guest spots as she does for independent movies. It's not about the money, it's about her filmography. I bet you work at mcdonalds. Now you can finaly vent.

This could not be a more ignorant statement. "Smallville" has brought more emotional depth and complexity than "the re1c84al Superman" ever had. And considering Christopher Reeve (ie, "the real Superman") thought it was a great show, and was more than happy to contribute to it, I doubt he'd agree with your glib assessment. And furthermore, he wasn't bitching about it being a "step down in his career" either. The whole "I'm too good for this part, just hurry up and pay me so I can get the hell out of here" attitude is never justifiable, and does not ever make you look good. -

And again we are brought to the whole money issue. We will never truly know if Christopher Reeve really did like the show, because they probably paid him to say it was good and plug it. He may have liked it, but I doubt it highly.Hell, give me 20 bucks and I'll say I like the show. I'll say I love how Superman doesn't fight crime, or do any of the things that Superman probably should do. If I wanted to watch a crappy kids drama I would watch Dawson's Creek. Then I would kill myself because I have such crappy taste in TV shows. Not saying you should kill yourself. Just a suggestion. Can that be a more ignorant statement? -

So because you know about her it means everyone else does? You've got a bigger ego problem than she does. I could ask 100 strangers on the street tomorrow if they've heard of Katherine Isabelle and I doubt I'd find ONE who knows who she is.

I was thinking the same thing. The comment about "sh!tty TV show appearances" kinda pissed me off, since she was on "Smallville", one of my favorite shows. Everyone who is a part of that show has such a great time with it, and seems so happy to be a part of it, so it's unfortunate that they have ungrateful guest stars whose hearts aren't even in it, and are only there for the money. And she was actually pretty good on the show too. She's obviously a talented actress (and cute too), but her attitude really sucks.

You hit it on the head King. I thought she was real good in the Ginger Snaps movies and Freddy Vs Jason (although I hate girls like the one she played), but badmouthing opportunities that come your way isn't the best career move.
And I never said she was American. I was commenting on the statement, "and you dont think those skanky american actresses arnt bitchy?" I know she's from Canada.
She should be more grateful that she's getting jobs. There are thousands of actors out there who don't even get a shot. And comparing being on TV to working at McDonalds is stretching it a bit. TV isn't a minimum wage job. She probably gets paid pretty good for it.

I think the point of her statements is that acting is not the dream job people think it is and that it's not as glamorous as people think it is. She's not being bitchy she's just talking about what acting is really like.

Look, I apologize if I'm being over-defensive, but this attitude really pisses me off. Please do not bash what you know nothing about. I know all the hardcore Superman purists love to bash "Smallville" just because it's on the WB, and it's more dramatic, and whatever, but if you actually watched the show to any great extent, you might realize that it's an excellent, well-written show, with great acting, great storylines, interesting takes on the characters, and if I may be frank, much less cheese than your typical superhero story. Hey, I love the original Superman as much as anyone, but the whole cheesy costumes and cheesier banter ("And now to use my heat vision!" No really? We couldn't tell by looking!) just gets kinda silly, and it's nice to see a more mature take on it.
And I'm not a little kid, a middle school girl, or even a teenager. I'm a 26 year old male who appreciates great, well-written television. And I know a large variety of people (y5b4oung and old) who watch and love the show, so for you to stereotype the viewers (not to mention making childish remarks about their physical appearance), and to make disparaging comments after seeing only part of one episode makes you look ignorant, foolish, and more than a little bit like an ass. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but if you want to come here and debate something, you'd better be able to back your beep up.
And once again, regarding the original thread topic, no one here is trying to say that Katharine is a bad person, or anything. We are merely saying that she comes off a bit arrogant, and that she could perhaps use a little perspective. That is all. It was one remark. Who knows, she may now regret saying it, and realize it didn't make her look so good. For her sake, I hope so. But nonetheless, you still have to be held accountable for the things you say. That's just the way it is. -

Ok, you really need to stop talking. You're just embarrassing yourself. Did you even read what I said? Stop being so defensive, and either make some effort to participate in the discussion like an intelligent person, or just stop this. There is no reason for you to behave like his, or to resort to personal attacks. I stated very clearly that no one is trying to put her down, or say that she's a bad person. You could very clearly have figured that out from my previous post, had you applied any type of reading comprehension skills. You have not understood a single word that anyone in this thread has said.
And if a trivial discussion like this is really ruining your life, then I am certainly not the one who needs to get one. I am a 26 year old college graduate with a job and a steady girlfriend, so I can assure you that this discussion ranks low in what is important in my life. And speaking of this discussion, I think it ran its course a long time ago, so unless you want to further prove that you have the reading comprehension skills of a 4-year-old, then I would like to insist that you just let this thread die. Everyone's said all that needs to be said, so if you still don't understand, then just let it go. Just be assured that things are not as bad as you seem to think they are, and don't allow that life of yours to be "ruined" any further. -

first of all, she makes most of her movies in vancouver or canada, i am from new york city and still hear about her.. so yeah shes not bitchy and not low-rate, u dont noe her so i think thats horrible that u think shes a bitch when you dont KNOW her, and i like katharine isabelle, shes cool i guess, but no i dont think shes bitchy.. i dont think shed be very happy to see tht u think shes a bitch.. <^>
