Ok, you really need to stop talking. You're just embarrassing yourself. Did you even read what I said? Stop being so defensive, and either make some effort to participate in the discussion like an intelligent person, or just stop this. There is no reason for you to behave like his, or to resort to personal attacks. I stated very clearly that no one is trying to put her down, or say that she's a bad person. You could very clearly have figured that out from my previous post, had you applied any type of reading comprehension skills. You have not understood a single word that anyone in this thread has said.
And if a trivial discussion like this is really ruining your life, then I am certainly not the one who needs to get one. I am a 26 year old college graduate with a job and a steady girlfriend, so I can assure you that this discussion ranks low in what is important in my life. And speaking of this discussion, I think it ran its course a long time ago, so unless you want to further prove that you have the reading comprehension skills of a 4-year-old, then I would like to insist that you just let this thread die. Everyone's said all that needs to be said, so if you still don't understand, then just let it go. Just be assured that things are not as bad as you seem to think they are, and don't allow that life of yours to be "ruined" any further. -

Actually, I'd be really interested to hear what she had to say on this subject. It'd be nice to hear her explanation of those comments, and to give further insight to us. Yeah, we don't know her, but then neither do you, so obviously this is getting us nowhere. So unless she one day reads this, and shows up to defend herself, I think we're about done here.
easy there buddy, i didnt write that lol my friend did soo cool the jets
No worries.

where she makes her movies has nothing to do with it, its cheaper to shoot up here in canada there are countless movies with huge stars filmed in van every year.
And as for her bitchiness, who cares, you either like her acting or you dont, sure i'd love to see her naked but at least shes not doing nude scenes to try and make a name for herself. -

she SHOULD show more grace as far as hving to "cra7ecppy" TV roles.
her agent is to blame for that, plus if she has a no nudity clause in her contract then trying to get her nekkid should be considered a violation of that clause. personally she one of those girls who prob looks better naked in your mind..actually seeing it and running the risk of seeing shes not as hot as u imagined? lol
Remeber Jamie leigh Curtis kept her boobs covered until she made it big so it is possible for a girl to go places without showing skin. and honestly is showing skin really as big a thing now as it used to be? only the very low budget stuff relies on sex scenes any more
She doesnt sound bitchy just disillusioned.. she may have to accept her future will be doing the convention circuits
though she may still get lucky and land a hot tv role.. i bet the stars of LOST are making more money and more regular money than if they only did the occasional movie shes a jobbing actress many of us have an affection for due to her accesible looks and appearance in a couple of cult movies -

I was just about to say the same thing but then I saw this post.
Don't get me wrongI like herI really do. But her attitudeehh..
There's a saying that a lot of good actors say "Television will make you rich. Movies will make you famous. Theater will make you good."
If she hates those shows so much she shouldn't do them. If she's so great then she wouldn't have to rely on those beep tv epsiodes to pay bills. No offense. I know she's popular with some peopleWhy else would be here? But she really hasn't made a big name for herselfyet..
I'm sorryshe does need to get over herself. -

bellabeaton — 20 years ago(September 01, 2005 01:45 AM)With regard to her comment about Canadian indie films versus tv shows, I think you're wrong to call her arrogant. It's probably partially a Canadian thing, but there's a general desire to see a more flourishing independent cinema up here. Sure, we make great films, but the audience for Canadian independent film is too small to support actresses, and the government doesn't make it lucrative enough (although they do give grants, certainly). I agree it sounds arrogant, but it's probably political.

I don't find what she said arrogant at all, just real. It's like striving hard to get promoted at work, only to find once you start climbing the ladder to where you want to be, finding yourself being demoted instead. Wouldn't you be annoyed by it.
An actor's got to work, and it must be tough when you find yourself actually making a name for yourself then having to take a step back. Try to put it in perspective before your judge. -

I know the thing about all Canadians being bitchy was posted years ago but it was just such an ignorant thing to say I had to respond to it. Just because a couple people you know from Canada are bitchy does not mean our entire population is. That is like me thinking all Americans are stupid because one or two I have met were not that bright and asked me stupid questions when they found out I was Canadian like " do you have cable in Canada?" "Do you live in an igloo?" " Do you guys have running water?" And last of all when I told them I was Canadian he would ask me if I know this person or that person from places i have never even been, as if all Canadians know one another. You probably think they were joking but I swear they were dead serious. The funniest thing was I was at the international music camp, on the border! I would tell them to walk ten feet north and see if Canada was any different from the states. I swear they thought it snowed all year round in all of Canada. I am not assuming the person who posted this thinks these things, maybe it was just something they said without really thinking but it really offended me. Sorry if I come across as bitchy, if you think so please don't assume that everyone else from Canada is : ) ; )

I agree 100%. People should take the time to look up the quote (typing it into google usually works) to track down where it came from before they judge her. We don't know what the full statement was or how she said it.

She has a right to bitch about the aspects of her job she doesn't like. As do we all. There are plenty of things I have to do at work which I don't like. It doesn't mean I won't do them or that I'm not grateful for the work.

thing is most of us were forced to get th5b4e jobs we have..
no one forces you to be an actress.. and if she gets work at all it should be appreciated seeing as so many other would love to be where she is -

Atleast, shes able to speak her mind. and if that seems bitchy to you, well then it does, its not like she speaks what the company/media want her to say she says what she wants, an she voices it the way she wants it.
i give her alot of credit, into not being brainwashed. -

Smallville
Speaking of Smallville and Lana Lang,
I always thought that Isabelle sort of resembled the one from the comic. Red Hair/Blue-sometimes green eyes.
I even think she's a more talented actress than the girl that currently plays Lana Lang.
