Looks like wishful thinking is out there for lots of people.
Of course, I don't watch "True Blood", so it would be a little disappointing to know that I would be missing out on what may be her most visible role in quite some time. Then again, isn't there all kinds of nudity on the show? Seems to me that the first choice would not be an actor who (apparently) has let her objections to being objectified known.

Dreadcentral.com is reporting (on 7-8-10)that she has been cast in the direct-to-dvd movie sequel to 30 days of Night. No word if she is a vampire or a normal human yet. Supposed to come out October 9th, 2010. Like you, I hope she is a really nasty vampire.I heard she might be in this movie with a shaved head-if so that's certainly going to knock off a lot of her sexiness if true -

Maybe I'm reading it out of context, but it seems that he is more or less hoping she is cast in the role and nothing is confirmed. Nothing would make me happier than to see her on that show. The last I heard, she was filming a show up in Canada.
