I think it is a bit close minded to judge someone else's relationship by your own experiences or society's standards. You mention that men are not as mature as women. That is not always the case and to say that is giving in to stereotypes. My fiance, for one, is extremely mature, does not party or drink, and has his finances and everything completely in order. He is two years younger than me. And since this topic is about Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, I will also use Hugh as an example. Yes, Deb is almost 13 years older than Hugh, but have you read about Hugh Jackman's reputation, even before he was a Hollywood star? This is a man who worked many odd jobs to support himself, has always been responsible, and chose to attend drama school for 3 years rather than starring in Neighbors and getting instant fame (he was offered instant money and fame in Australia to star in Neighbors and instead, chose to further his education). I think it was Hugh's brother who said that initially he felt it would be a stretch for Hugh to play a rebel like Wolverine because in real life, Hugh had never even gotten a speeding ticket. Hugh is known to be very spiritually grounded and was that way when he and Deb met, even according to people who went to drama school with him. They say he never even missed a class during drama school, was always punctual, never got into trouble, and was a complete gentleman. There is a reason he is never in the tabloids. He also does not party much despite being a Hollywood actor now. This man was very mature when Deb met him, and she says he is actually more responsible than she is. Based on interviews I've seen with Deb, I highly doubt she would have married Hugh if she felt he was less mature than she is.

What does age matter when two people find his/her soulmate in each other?
I do remember seeing a photo of the two of them on an Australian beach watching the sunset together, with Deb wrapped in Hugh's arms. Their backs practically faced the camera and they obviously did not see the photographer who took advantage of the opportunity to get a photo of the couple. It seemed such a romantic and loving image!
I have also seen an interview that both of them conducted together to honor Barbara Walter's retirement they were practically finishing each other sentences, so ingrained was their relationship with each other. And when Barbara requested Hugh to sing "I'VE GROWN ACCUSTOMED TO HER FACE" ( her favorite song), Hugh did it as if she was really his true love interest but not before he asked leave from Deb - such a lovely gesture!
They will be married 20 years this year and Hugh, when asked in an interview if he has already thought of what to do, shared that he has already been thinking about it but that it is going to be a surprise for Deb!

I don't have a problem with the age gap. I'm 34, I wouldn't mind being with a 48 yo woman. as long as she's beautiful. And the thing is that chick isn't. THAT'S what's weird to me, that a guy like Hugh freakin Jackman can be married to a very VERY plain-looking woman, who seems to be using botox, or has a bad plastic surgeon, depending on the pics I've seen of her

And beauty is a weird thingI actually think she is very good looking for her age and she was beautiful actress when he married her. And I am a woman so I am a bit biased in this - for example, many women swear Channing Tatum is handsome and sexy and I think he is an ordinary, uncharismatic guy. It differs from person to person.
And they love each other, thats all that matters and tbh, it is none of our business

I don't see anything wrong with men who like women that are older than them If women like men that are older than them nobody would say anything If a woman was 34 and she was dating a 48 year old man nobody would be bothered big age gaps don't mean anything once a person is 18 and over it's only matters if the person is under 18 i think it's better if the woman is older than the man you can be a toyboy at any age if a 35 year old man got married to a 50 year old woman he would still be a toyboy because he is a lot younger than her on this article there a 90 year old woman who married her 78 year old toyboy they have been togeth111cer for 34 years they have known eachother for 36 years he was 42 and never married when he met her and she was a 54 year old divorced grandmother if he was 12 years older than his wife when they got married nobody would say a thing i wonder why did they wait for 34 years to get married.

For me i personally prefer a woman too be older than me like 14 years older than me it wouldn't be too bad i don't mind as the long the woman is beautiful it would be better less problems when you get older but they is more problems when you get older and the woman is much younger than you.

I am 11 years older than my fiancmy dad is 11 years older than my mom. Why is it if the woman is more than a few years older there is something wrong? No one seems to think my dad is a cradle robber because he is his 11 years older than my mom. But I get branded a cougar because I am older. There are many men in Hollywood who are involved with women young enough to be their daughters and granddaughters. That gets them a atta boy. But if Betty White started dating a 30 year old man everyone would go nuts and want to know what is wrong with him. And I have dated men young enough to be my son before I met my fianc. Some men like older women since they often have their life together. Were not full of drama. And in my case I am child free and the younger men I have been involved with have told me that is part of what they liked. Young girls have baby on the brain. It is also why my fianc was attracted to me. So no there is nothing odd with the woman being older. The only odd thing is there is still such a double standard towards it.

Yeah true George Clooney Michael Douglas are Leonardo Dicaprio are example of men who like women young enough to be their daughters they are Male Cougars George Clooney and Michael Douglas like younger women i think it's the Irish in them Irish men tend to go for women much younger than them even Scottish men and Welsh men like women that are much younger than them i am talking 10 years younger 20 years younger and even 30 years younger than them Leonardo Dicaprio likes younger women maybe it's the Russian in him Russian men like women that are a lot younger than them but Latin Men like Italian men Spanish men Portuguese men Mexican Men and also Greek men even they are not Latin's like women that are much older than them like women old enough to be their mothers i am talking 10 years older 20 years older and even 30 years younger than them I wouldn't mind dating and marrying a woman 14 years older than me but not 14 years younger than me that would be a bit weird I like older women like 10 years older 20 years older and 30 years older than my age nothing wrong with that i wouldn't even dream of liking women my age and younger Hugh Jackman has Greek ancestry it could be one reason why he likes older Greek men like older women.

Since the age gap is 13 years I wonder what growing old for them will be like i wonder if they will still be together for another 20 years will she be around when he is 78 and she is 91 what would it be like growing old with a much older woman.
