Im sure he will do fine he is still a big star. Its gonna be sad tho without his appearances as Wolverine every few years or so.

It is not just a film careerbut also treading the boards in the theatre!
His movies, of course, are more physically accessible ( in most corners of the earth) while only mostly a few are able to see him perform live on Broadway. Occasionally he might perform in his native Australia or even some place in Europe, which are all treats!
On film, he has already shown so much versatility ( Les Miserables, The Prestige, Prisoners, The Fountain, Australia, Kate and Leopold, Scoop, Pan and of course action movies mostly represented by his Wolverine career) I am excited to find out what his upcoming film projects might be, apart from what he is scheduled to film this coming month ( The Greatest Showman) and what he has been signed up for (Apostle Paul - although we have no idea when that one will be ready for final greenlight and filming). Because he is very versatile, there is no typecasting what his future projects may be. It is likely that he will continue with the action/dramatic/musical genresand maybe something different once in a while?
On stage - he likes to do new material. It is likely he will be interested in both drama and musical theatreand maybe even classical theatre?

I just posted a thread about Hugh pulling off a George Michael biopic. He is the perfect fit if they ever did that project.

He is way too physically masculine to convincingly pull it off.
