Hugh has stayed in top physical shape for like 17 years now with another Wolverine movie still to come. That's hard to do even for professional bodybuilders. I mean staying in shape your whole life is one thing but this is something else. Just appreciate his dedication to his craft and for taking Wolverine seriously.

That reminds me of what Australian film director Baz Luhrmann ( Moulin Rouge, Great Gatsby, Australia, etc) said of Hugh Jackman when they worked together in the movie epic called AUSTRALIA. I can't recall the exact words, but he said something along the lines that Hugh Jackman was the most dedicated film professional he has worked with. He directed the epic film AUSTRALIA, which starred Hugh and Nicole Kidman. The film involved topnotch dramatic and comedic acting as well as some hard physical work ( a lot of real horseback riding, herding cattle, action scenes) and some very strong emotional scenes. I guess it is the dedication and hard work which makes actors like Hugh Jackman well-respected in the film industry.
Btw, when he spent a year on Broadway ( The Boy from Oz), he performed in 8 shows a week, singing some 20-21 songs out of a total of 25 in the musical and a number of very rigorous dance routines. Michael Riedel, Broadway pundit, compared Hugh to Atlas for carrying the entire show on his back. The show ran for a year and he was NEVER absent from any performance, even if towards the end he was already nursing a stress fracture on his foot and he had lost a lot of weight from the strenuous schedule. -

X-Men: Apocalypse he had a short appearance.
He can physically act rage very well, but i did notice he was not as pumped.
The camera shots were quick and selective, but in the last few seconds when he ran away, he does not appear to be a toned or sculpted as before.
Where he is escaping into the snow forest, after getting some memories restored, they was skinny arms and podge round the waist.
Still it fits with the plot being locked in that container so does not matter much.
I think to keep working out to his age of 48 years old is very impressive.
The film before he looked more athletic, but had alot of veins on his body. -

It's not only his physique but his overall conditioning and stamina that amazes me. He did that infamous "hopping" intro at the 2014 Tony awards where he literally hopped for 4-to-5 minutes from the sidewalk into and all the way through the Radio City Music Hall auditorium, backstage into each production's cast members area, then back on stage to finish a musical number while seeming to be just a little of out of breath. Must have been a quarter-mile without stopping. I would have needed to be hospitalized with an IV drip.
