Wow, well that
does
kinda answer my previous question about whether or not she was always a right wing religious nutjob.
Perhaps she just hid it better back in the 80s and early-mid 90s, or was
at least
smart enough to know it would've ruined her career had she been all openly prude fundie Christian at the height of her success. Still though, even by the late 90s and certainly 2000s she wasn't popular anymore, you'd figure she would've come out with it by then, not wait until like 2010 to do it!
I still wonder if something did happen in her personal life in the last 5 years that made her go off the deep end. Even if she was always Christian, she really escalated it to the extreme. As much as I disagree with her, it might make it a little more understandable if she was open about why she changed (if she did).
She just seemed so cute, bubbly and sweet back in the 80s like the LAST person you'd ever think would turn out this way, lol. -

She didn't hide it too well. While she was on SNL they kept quiet about this (Back when there was a thing called discretion), but after she left the show, it was later revealed she would often leave bibles and/or bible versus at dressing room doors of co-stars she felt needed more Jesus in their life, including Jewish comedians. Most of the cast found her especially irritating away from the camera, which is why few of them associate with her, then or now.
If you buy a ticket for a remake, you are the problem, not Hollywood.
