Did you think that maybe he's uncomfortable and shy with 150 people all wanting his attention.
I've met many actors who seemed a bit distant when surrounded by a a crowd, but as soon as the people went away the actor(s) were telling me stories, jokes, their families, funny things that happened on the set, their hobbies
And in all the conversations I've had, after the crowd was gone, we talked for no less than a half hour, one on one.
I'm sorry to hear that your son was disappointed, maybe if you go to his website and mentioned to him that you and your son didn't get a chance to get his autograph, you may get a surprising response.

I mean I get your disappoitment but judging him by just one incident seems highly unfair.
Many people think that cause a person is an actor he is obliged to be give everyone an autograph and maybe chat a little. Bu these are people too, and no you cant always seperate your personal life and your job.

What people like you fail to realize is if it wasn't for fans going to see their movies and making them marketable stars, they'd be nobodies living somewhere in America or elsewhere working a normal job like everyone else. So yeah he and every actor or entertainer should be obliged. I saw Rod Stewart on Ellen I believe it was and she made mention about how fans were coming to visit him at his new house and he would come out to greet them. She said something to the effect of it being boring or burdensome and he said "No, they bought it for me" if more entertainers realized that there wouldn't be stories on here like this. If I ever became famous I'd be very accessible. Signings, public appearances, photo ops, etc. They put me where I am and I want to stay there. Have security nearby for the occasional crazy fan but otherwise, bring em on.

Why call someone a total jerk, because they have to5b4 move along while signing autographs for people in the front row, and your kid wasn't in the front row? A total jerk would not have signed any, or not shown up for the event. As the video shows, the actor did not look unhappy or pissed off. More importantly, everyone has a bad day, and to JUDGE people based on your first impression meeting them, even if they are famous (which carries its own unhealthy expectations to the masses) is actually more of a jerk move.
Write back when you have spent time with the actor, and get to know him, or he
does something in public that is patently offensive. Then calling him a "jerk" will have more meaning. -

Seriously? People actually get mad when celebrities don't smile while giving autographs?
You don't know what he was thinking or feeling. It's so easy for people to judge others who can't really defend themselves from this kind of hostile attitude. It's easy to say "you're a celebrity, so tough luck, gotta smile even if you feel like crap". What gives you people the right to say this?? They are HUMAN, just like you and me. Stop treating celebrities like they are gods, maybe you won't be so disappointed. -

Yeah, I don't buy it. James is good friends with Adam Sandler who is one of the if not the nicest big name actor in Hollywood. And while Rob Schneider had some dust-ups with movie critics never heard a bad thing about him or any of Sandler's gang when it comes to fans. Kevin was a decently well-known actor due to his TV series prior to Sandler but his association with Sandler obviously helped expand his fanbase.

Just do a quick Google search ''Kevin James Jerk'' or ''Kevin James beep and you will find tons of stories of him being a total ego maniac and just strait being a douche to his own fans.. One example he has a assistant go into a clothing store to tell all the workers that he is about to come in and that no one is allowed to speak to him or even look him in the eye!! Hahaha I mean c'mon what a Fuc*ing weirdo

haha Fat Bastard really is the perfect word to describe him!! Its funny because there are so many way bigger (as in fame) actors & actresses that are really down to earth and just dope ass people to talk to such as Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, or Keanu Reeves.. If you do a quick Google search on some fans or movie assistant's encounters with them you can see there are some really cool ass people who's fame doesn't go to there head..
