Martin, you've gone back on this new revolution already. I'm determined to always be nice in these forums. I'm 27, and yeah you do seem young. I'm from London, UK and, yup, a girl.
I'm trying to think how old David Jason's child will be now. -

Even still, it doesn't give any actor/actress the right to be rude & abusive. There's no excuse for it! Even if they do get asked the same questions & bothered alot it's part in parcel of being famous. After all, THEY chose it!

To martinrw. How sad must you be to let someone ruin your holiday because they refused to let you have a picture? It would have been worse if people kept pestering you for a photo while on holiday as DJ probably was.

i think david jason is a national icon and a brilliant actor ,who said his acting is wooden ? please, you obviously know nothing about acting so what if he said no to someone asking for his picture ,you should try saying "hi, how are you " to lyndsey lohan .

If anyone wants and unbiased insight into what David Jason is really like, read David Jason the Biography by the eminent Stafford Hildred and Tim Ewbank.
It is better than sitting there guessing what he is like -

My mum sat next to him on a plane several years ago and she said that he was very pleasant and friendly that says a lot about him in my opinion because none of you know my mum, whom I love dearly, but who would be my last choice as a companion in a confined space for a long period of time!

If this person is telling the truth, fair enough I can't judge that.
However, what I do know is that my Dad met him when he was at the height of his fame whilst in the process of working on the same cartoon as him (Count Duckula, 20 years ago) and found him to be very hospitable and approachable. My Dad said he had 2 minders with him at the time, but still honoured a request to meet my sister, and nothing seemed like too much trouble.
